KVK, Senapati is an agri-knowledge dissemination centre with a mandate of Technology Assessment, Refinement and Demonstration for wider application and to enhance Capacity Development (TADA-CD). The effectiveness of the KVK is enhanced by activities related to OFT and FLD on major agricultural production technologies based on location specific, need based and resource oriented. It imparts vocational skill training to the farmers, farm women; rural youths, school dropout and field level extension functionaries in the field of agriculture and allied activities. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Senapati since its inception (2002) has been serving the farming community of the district under the administrative control of host institute, Foundation for Environment and Economic Development Services (FEEDS), Hengbung village, Senapati district, Manipur and is monitor and coordinated directly by ATARI-VII, Umiam, Meghalaya. In the year 2016, a new district was formed namely Kangpokpi district by curving the present Senapati district. However, KVK-Senapati continues to work in both the districts.
KVK-Senapati has been working for the improvement of livelihood for the marginal and small farmers mainly in the district. KVK has been committed for the betterment of farming community with the intervention of latest agricultural and allied technologies in the farmer fields. Beside the mandate of KVK, it used to organize different others activities like as farmer exposure visit, film show, farmer scientist interaction, TV & radio talk, etc.
